“In 2017, as part of their 150th anniversary celebrations, The McManus Art Galleries and Museum commissioned Dundee-born musician Jonnie Common to create a suite of music. Jonnie spent the summer exploring the nooks and crannies of the McManus to find sounds and stories, culminating in a large-scale open air performance on it's iconic outer steps.”
The resulting album ‘At The McManus’ has been pressed to vinyl by The McManus in a limited run of 300 with exquisite artwork by Tommy Perman. The gatefold package includes a booklet of extensive liner notes, a unique riso print by Tommy (no two the same) as well as a unique postcard (again, no two the same) sporting the download code (I guess no two of those will be the same either…).
I have a wee batch of copies which I’ve made available below. Sorry about the hefty postage. Posting records is expensive and this is about the weight of a double LP.
If you’re near Dundee, I’d recommend paying The McManus a visit and you should be able to find a copy in the gift shop.
