JWCHG6

JWCHG6 - JONNIE COMMON - ‘I/O’

1_Taken In (04.10) / 2_Homegame Six Mix (10.09) / 3_Taken Out (04.12)

ltd edition EP made up for FENCE RECORDS‘ 6th annual Homegame Festival.

“Track 2, the Homegame Six Mix consists of the songs ‘Hand-To-Hand’, ‘Summer Is For Going Places’ and a new variation of the remix I did for FOUND earlier this year,  ‘Alsation Gull Scene’. As these 3 tracks are all at 95bpm, I mixed them running together much like how I played them live in my set.”

RDC015

RDC015 - DTTS - live at Red Deer Club 2008 (CD-R)

From RED DEER CLUB RECORDS:

To celebrate our fifteenth release, there doesn’t seem to be such a perfect time as this one. A document of what both label and band have achieved over the past three years, Red Deer Club proudly present ‘Down The Tiny Steps – Live….

Recorded live at Sounds From The Other City festival (May 2008), the ‘last’ live outing for the Red Deer Club, the three piece rocked the rafters of Sacred Trinity church with their synth pop sounds

Documented on this stunning limited edition album, both artist and label are very proud of the outcome. Have a listen. You might just want to go back to church.

In May 2008, Dunc Le Chunk hosted a venue at the ‘Sounds From The Other City’ festival in Manchester under the Red Deer Club flag. As it was to be the last Red Deer Club for the time being while Dunc puts his efforts into the RDC label, we wanted to do something to mark the occassion. And we kindof did. By way of tribute we started to record a song using samples of a telephone conversation with Dunc (that had been recorded without his knowledge) and although we didn’t have enough time to develop it into a full song, the resulting track was performed at the event and made available for free download during June 2008.

A&B003 – Get While The Getting’s Good -Various Artists (Aufgeladen und Bereit)

Collection of songs from the current Scottish indie scene – released by German label Aufgeladen und Bereit in Feb 2007.

“A&B have put together this lovely collection of songs and music by 19 diverse Scottish artists, showing just how rich and vibrant the contemporary Scottish music scene is. From classic “Glasgow Pop” to experimental folk. Chiming angular guitars to twisted country, its a fine illustration of why the music from this small northern European country has been, and continues to be so influential in the wider world!”

Norman Blake (Teenage Fanclub)

Track #18: Down the Tiny Steps: ‘Handstand’
